Great start to 2018, I was awarded my Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society this month. This was a personal photography goal I set myself a little while go and have been busy working away getting my panel ready.

My panel – the process
After a lot of scratching my head as to where I would start with my panel, I final ended up selecting the 10 images below (there were many combinations before this final 10 I can assure you). This was my first time entering any of my work into a process where they would be assessed, inspected, review, criticised – I didn’t really know what to expect (apart from a stomach full of nerves). I went to the advisory day totally naïve of what to expect or what to do… I received a lot of really helpful feedback from the judges and other photographers who were watching and taking it all in and felt a lot more at ease with my work and what my next steps were.
So after a few tweaks to my panel I submitted the 10 images below (as prints) – mounted them (which having never done that before was a learning curve – I used backing card which was self-adhesive, will never use that again, the bubbles!!! Even when I thought I have got them all out – worse than hanging wall paper). I got them all printed at Loxley Colour and bought the mounts from Paper Spectrum.
